Our rum is made from the finest ingredients using old recipes using modern equipment. We first distill our rum during the stripping run using a ten-bubble plate reflux column and for our spirit run we use an eight-bubble plate reflux column giving a smooth well-finished taste. Oak aged wood rum using second fill bourbon casks resulting in a complex taste with some whiskey undertones. This is bottled under the names Kouga and Ferreira Rum

Introducing Our Gin Range

Building on the success of our craft rum journey, Ferreira Post Distilleries is proud to announce the launch of our gin range.

Our experience in distilling premium rum gave us the confidence to embark on a gin journey of our own. Guided by the same commitment to quality, balance and flavour, we developed a collection of gins that reflect both classic style and local character.

During the past festival season, our gins were exceptionally well received, confirming that this new chapter is a natural extension of our distilling endeavours. Encouraged by this response, we look forward to expanding the range with additional flavours in due course.

The Spirit of the Indian Ocean

Indian Crest London Dry Gin is a handcrafted spirit born in Jeffreys Bay, just a short distance from the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean. Distilled with pride by Ferreira Post Distilleries, it embodies a coastal freshness and refined craftsmanship.

Craft Process

Base Spirit: Fermented and distilled locally from South African-grown molasses.
Distillation Method: A delicate balance of maceration and vapour infusion using a ginning basket, ensuring both depth and clarity of flavour.
Botanicals: Carefully selected botanicals with a focus on citrus brightness, layered with juniper, coriander, and cinnamon undertones for complexity.
Style: London Dry Gin, true to tradition yet distinctly South African.
